


Founded by Emmett Merrill and Samantha Mendoza, Twin Hound is a fine art printmaking studio located in Kansas City’s Historic West Bottom’s. Twin Hound is dedicated to offering affordable access to Lithography, Intaglio, Relief, Risograph and Screen Printing facilities through workshops, residencies, and artist memberships.
Twin Hound is a sister studio to Grafik House USA, founded by J.T. Felix in 2019

Samantha Mendoza was born in the San Joaquin Valley in Central California. Her journey into printmaking began at College of the Sequoias in 2010, under friend and mentor Richard Peterson. She graduated with her BFA in Printmaking at the Kansas City Art Institute in 2015, followed by her M.F.A. at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL in May of 2019. Upon graduation, she relocated to Saint Louis, MO to become the Artist in Residence at Tom Huck’s Evil Prints. She has since become a member of Grafik House USA (a print shop operating in downtown St. Louis), and continues to make work whilst teaching printmaking and drawing at Webster University.

Emmett Merrill (Born 1993, Kansas City, MO) received BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2015, and his MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2020. He manages the lithography studio at Grafik House, a fine art printmaking studio in downtown St. Louis, MO. His prints can be found in the public collections of the Library of Congress and The New York Public Library. In the last two years, he has had solo exhibitions at Monaco USA, Buckham Gallery, and the Sheldon Arts Center. He currently lives and publishes his work in St. Louis, MO.
